Remember this guy? Doesn't look like Adam Cartwright any more, of course, but I just knew there was something familiar about him when he strolled into the store this morning.
Once we got the identity thing cleared up, we had a long conversation, mostly about Leonard Woolf of all people (PR knows way more about him than I do). He wrapped it up by reciting a naughty Bonanza limerick composed by one of the show's frequent cameos, Shakespearean actor Edward Everett Horton, who made it up on horseback while they waited to do yet another take out at Vasquez Rocks, sweating in the sun. Somebody dared Horton to do his thing--and he did. An excellent little pome. Damn, if only I'd written it down!
